Usage#
inquir apps scale <app> [always|http|manual] [options]
Options#
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
--activation <mode> | Set always, http or manual; alias: --mode. |
--replicas <n> | Desired replicas, 1–8. More than one requires always mode and allocation-plane support. |
--idle-timeout <duration> | HTTP inactivity before sleep, at least 5m; alias: --idle. |
--activation-timeout <duration> | Maximum wake duration, from 5s to 5m. |
--stabilization <duration> | Quiet period before sleeping, at least 0s; alias: --scale-down-stabilization. |
--stateful | Alpha: ordered replicas of an application with a volume, each with its own volume and name (scale.mode: stateful in inquir.yaml). Use with --replicas. |
--stateless | Return a stateful application to identical replicas. |
--override | Change a scale key that the deployed inquir.yaml manages, until the next Git deploy. |
--json | Print machine-readable results. |

Examples#
inquir apps scale web always --replicas 3
inquir apps scale web http --idle-timeout 15m
inquir apps scale db --replicas 3 --stateful
Behavior#
Omitted policy fields remain unchanged. Replica support also depends on the application’s ports, volumes and workspace limits.
A saved desired count is not a measurement that every replica is already running. Inspect apps status.
Stateful replicas are Alpha: they may change and have limits, so keep backups of their data. Inspect them with apps replicas and their rollout with apps rollout.
